Letter from the Chair
Rosario Giraldez, Alianza Cultural Uruguay Estados Unidos, Montevideo, Uruguay
Dear Members of the PAIS Community,
As we embark on a new semester, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our members and especially to the new members who have recently joined the PAIS community. We are delighted to have you all on board and look forward to your active participation and contributions.
Also, I am pleased to share that we are holding one open, informal chat in August. You can find all the event information regarding the speaker, topic, day and time on MyTESOL. By the way, if you have not yet downloaded the new myTESOL app, you definitely should. It is really user-friendly and provides instant updates on events, news and discussions.
In addition, our team is diligently preparing for the 2025 TESOL International Convention. We are planning to hold one Academic Session, and we will participate in two Intersection Sessions. We will be working with Supporting Students with Disabilities IS as primary, and with English for Specific Purposes IS as secondary. We are committed to delivering a remarkable experience that fosters professional growth and collaboration.
Your input is invaluable to us, and we invite all members to contribute articles, ideas, and feedback to our newsletter. Whether you have a success story, a research finding, or a perspective on a pressing issue in our field, we want to hear from you. Your contributions help us enrich our community and drive our mission forward.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we can achieve great things and advance our collective goals.
Warm regards,
Rosario Giraldez
