TESOL Awards are still open for applications. These awards recognize outstanding service, innovation, and dedication in English language education—and as a TESOL member, you’re eligible to apply or nominate someone else who deserves to be celebrated.

Awards of Excellence and Service

Receive recognition for your exceptional work and service by applying for TESOL awards. Award applications are due 15 September 2025.

  Recognizes and honors exceptional English language teachers at all levels.
• TESOL Award for Excellence in Research
  To recognize excellence in research on language teaching and learning. 
• TESOL Outstanding Advocate Honor Award
  To recognize an exceptional leader and professional who has demonstrated outstanding advocacy efforts in the TESOL field that align with the association's vision, mission, values, and commitments.
• The Ron Chang Lee for Excellence in Classroom Technology
  To honor TESOL members who have achieved excellence through the implementation of technology in ELT. 
• The James E. Alatis Award for Service to TESOL
  To acknowledge outstanding and extended service by a TESOL member. 
• TESOL Leadership Mentoring Program Award
  To help TESOL members become more involved in the work of the association. 
• *New* Vance Stevens Educational Technology Mentoring Award
  To support the professional development and leadership in Technology for English Language Teaching with a focus on those working in areas that are under-resourced in educational technology and from underrepresented groups, fostering a diverse and engaged community.
