Webinar Description:
Reading opens the door to understanding the world, writing supports better self-expression and concentration. No doubt these two are essential building blocks of every child’s intellectual development. At the same time, the complex mechanics of decoding, analysing, interpreting stories or poems, as well as verbalising our own thoughts in a structured way, can be approached in different ways by autistic and dyslexic learners. In this highly interactive webinar, Anna will share practical ideas on how to light the literacy spark in autistic and dyslexic learners, with a range of techniques and activities that she uses successfully in her daily therapeutic teaching practice. Join us to learn more about her holistic, multisensory, brain-friendly approach to building on learners’ strengths while nurturing reading and writing in class, and beyond.
