Hello to all from your Community Events Organizers!
We worked hard this summer to put together a series of webinars for the fall semester, and we recently held our first session with DJ Kaiser. He shared practical tips for pronunciation practice and discussed his new book, Practical Pronunciation.
In October, we’ll hear from Dr. Jimin Khang about understanding nonnative speech and speech training. Then, in November, in collaboration with the Intercultural Communication Interest Section, we’ll welcome Dr. Marcella Capraprio for a conversation about recent research and English as a Lingua Franca-informed perspectives on pragmatic competence.
We are also looking for more webinar topics and presenters for Spring 2027. If you have ideas or leads, please send them our way!
