Dear Members of the PAIS Community,

This is my last letter as Chair of the Program Administration Interest Section. It has been an honor to serve the TESOL Association and to share with supervisors, coordinators, mentors and others in positions that oversee instructors’ work and support the professional development and growth of their staff. I would like to encourage members to become involved with our steering committee and consider joining us in this rewarding journey of leading an Interest Section.

I take this opportunity to share that we have been enthusiastically working on three panels and an open meeting for the 2025 TESOL International Convention in Long Beach. I am pleased to invite those of you attending the convention to join us for the following sessions:

  • PAIS Academic Session: Staff Evaluation as a Springboard for Professional Development - Friday, March 21st, 8:00 AM-9:15 AM US PST in Regency Ballroom A at the Hyatt Regency
  • PAIS Open Meeting: Thursday, March 20th, 10:30 AM-11:30 PM. The meeting location will be provided on the convention mobile
  • Intersection Session as primary IS with Supporting Students with Disabilities: Intersectional Identities Within and Beyond TESOL: Leaders’ Experiences and Perspectives - Thursday, March 20th, 3:00 PM-4:15 PM US PST in Seaview Ballroom C at the Hyatt Regency
  • Intersection Session as secondary IS with English for Specific Purposes: Unique Challenges and Innovative Solutions - Wednesday, March 19th, 12:00 PM-1:15 PM US PST in 104 A at the Long Beach Convention Center

Thank you for your ongoing dedication and participation. By working together, we can continue to make meaningful progress and achieve our shared aspirations. I wish the best to our incoming Chair, Alemayehu Anberbir, and I hope for continued success and growth for our Program Administration Interest Section.

Warm regards,

Rosario Giraldez
