📌Professional Councils
Professional councils provide professional expertise to help advance the association's strategic objectives and activities. To apply, you must be a TESOL member for at least 3 years and have at least 1-2 years of volunteer experience with TESOL International Association (i.e., having served with interest sections, task forces, or other TESOL entities).
Seven Professional Councils Are Currently Seeking New Leaders:

📌Interest Sections
Interest sections review current practice and research in areas of English language teaching and learning. IS leaders work on communications, member engagement, and leadership development. Most positions are for a 1-year term beginning in April 2026 and may be renewed annually. New volunteers are welcome to apply, and no previous experience is required.
