Hello everyone!
Welcome to our Fall 2024 ITAIS newsletter, we are happy you are here!
Despite some delay, we have got a great issue for you! In this issue, Roger Anderson reflects on the linguistic intricacies of English in the contexts of ITAs’ teaching and everyday situations. Then, Robin Brinks Lockwood shares her insights into instructing ITAs on holding and attending office hours. Also, Jayasri Srinivasan, Alice Wu, Jody Gabler, Mila Vescherevich, and Derina Samuel share their journeys towards full ACTFL certification. Next, Cynthia DeRoma explains an AI-based activity teaching ITAs. Lastly, Pamela Pollock summarizes her TESOL 2024 ITA-IS academic session.
We're not only interested in your articles but also your ideas in creating a newsletter that is engaging as well as informative. Why not consider submitting a piece such as a classroom innovation you have piloted, a research interest that has a practical application, a book review, your experience with a workshop that inspired you, a reflection on your teaching practice or a resource for materials? You get the picture!
Do you have an idea or suggestion to share? Send them to us!
Wishing you all the best for 2024-2025!
