Emily Montgomery is the Graduate Program Coordinator in International & Academic English at the University of California, Davis where she provides linguistic and cultural support to multilingual graduate students. She regularly attends DEI-focused trainings and adapts resources developed for U.S. audiences to individuals who are new to the U.S. and may lack the historical context required to process typical DEI trainings.
Elise Geither, Ph.D., has worked in higher ed for over 25 years supporting international students, ITAs, and students with documented disabilities. She was on the board of the Supporting Students with Disabilities (SSDIS) IS of TESOL from its inception. She worked with ITAs for over ten years developing training, programming, and support services, including a spoken English support program that was highly sought after at the university. She is currently working with Cleveland State Global in academic support for graduate students.
