When we think about teaching business English as EFL, it is sometimes perceived as a whole new world and in fact, in spite of being a challenging endeavour at the beginning, it can surprisingly reveal some interesting familiar aspects to those teaching general English which we can use to our learners' advantage. The aim of this presentation will be to explore these coincidences and reflect on how we can start bridging the gap.

María Isabel Huaccho is a highly experienced English teacher and trainer. She specializes in EFL Methodology and Business English.She has finished her MA TEFL studies and holds the FTBE, TKT, CPE certificates.She has participated as a speaker at International events in Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Romania among others.Her professional interests include Soft skills ,ICT and Intercultural communication.
