Dear TESOL Colleagues,
Please join us Friday, January 13th from 11 – 12 pm ET for a TEIS webinar:
"Exploring Contemporary Foundations for Teaching English as an Additional Language: Implications for Teacher Education"
In this webinar, Joan Kang Shin and Polina Vinogradova present highlights from their recently edited book Contemporary Foundations for Teaching English as an Additional Language: Pedagogical Approaches and Classroom Applications (Routledge, 2021).* They talk about the vision for the book, its content, and main theoretical themes and case studies. Informed by the book content, they will present practical implications and suggestions for TESOL teacher educators on how to incorporate critical and postmethod pedagogies, translanguaging, multiliteracies, and advocacy (to name a few) into their work with pre-service and in-service EAL teachers.
*There will be a raffle of one copy of the book at the webinar and a 20% discount code for the book for all attendees.
There will be a Q & A opportunity with Professors Kang Shin and Vinogradova.
I've attached a flyer for the event.

We look forward to seeing you in next week.
The talk will be taped for those who aren't able to attend on 1/13.
