    Dear Colleagues,

As TESOL professionals, we want to see growth in our students, our schools, our communities, and, foremost, ourselves. In order to implement meaningful changes, we must first have a deep understanding of the field. With the theme of Shifting Teaching Paradigms: Examining Inclusive, Dynamic Practices, NYS TESOL asks all TESOLers to examine our teaching practices for full equity, inclusion, and justice, during our 52nd Annual Conference (Hybrid), Nov 3 Virtual, Nov 4 & 5 at the Sonesta hotel in White Plains.

We encourage you to register as soon as you can. Registration rates will increase by $50 on October 1st.

Here is the message from our amazing Conference Chair, Yasmeen Coaxum:

"At this year's Annual Conference, we set the stage for diverse, dynamic connection as we showcase professionals dedicated to amplifying our students' voices and sharing their successful methods. Creating opportunities to connect is the foundation of what it means to be a language educator; using language to strengthen the bonds of engagement in and outside of our classrooms. The Annual Conference fosters camaraderie between educators, administrators, researchers, publishers, and educational consultants through the exchange of ideas, through our social hour, president's dinner and dance, and by providing a space to relax and practice mindfulness in our newly featured wellness room. This year, participants will also have a chance to use our connective conference platform, Whova, to enhance their virtual and in-person experiences. Join us and let's move forward as we shift into a new era of education!"

We have carefully designed three days of rich learning and opportunities for knowledge-sharing where all ESOL professionals can meet and share visions, co-construct ideas, and set research agendas and action plans together. Here is our Schedules-at-a-Glance.
