    Dear Colleagues:

    Hello! I hope you are well and enjoying your summer/winter season.

    On June 20, 2022, Dr. Stephen Krashen held a webinar entitled, "Second Language Acquisition and the Power of Pleasure Reading."

    This event was sponsored by the State University of New York/Westchester Community College and New York State TESOL.

    In his presentation, Professor Krashen discusses a variety of issues in second language acquisition with a focus on reading. And, he sings the praises of extensive reading and graded readers!

    With his informal, folksy charm, "Sir Stephen" -- as we respectfully and affectionately refer to him -- blends substance with warmth and wit to deliver a very engaging, informative lecture.
