STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of Womentorship in ELT is to form a professional learning network to support the advancement of women in the field of TESOL. While women comprise a majority in teaching of English globally, women in our field face discrimination due to gender, race, native language, and ethnicity. The goal of this PLN is to create a forum wherein women can share support and mentorship to move ahead professionally and personally. This directly aligns with the mission and strategic direction of TESOL International by focusing our energy on important issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
