1.  Interactive Smartboard

I have just received an interactive Smartboard in my U.S. high school classroom. I am looking for ideas  to use the interactivity rather than just as a projector.

Thank you for any information,

Hana Prashker

Do what I did when I first got one...ask your teenage son or daughter how to use it.  :>)    They'll know tons of ways to use it and know tons of tricks too.  That's how I learned.   :>)

Hello Hana,

If you don't have any experienced SmartBoard users on site to help you, here are two ways that we have found useful:

1. Smart Exchange (Lesson plans and resources for your SMART Board - SMART Exchange))

This is a support website managed by SmartBoard. It has re-usable resources and training tips. You have to create an account with it, but the account is free.

2. YouTube

Just search "How to use a SmartBoard." The quality and helpfulness varies from video to video but there are some good tips out there for at least getting started.

Hope this helps!

I was going to say exactly what Duane said!

The files on Smart Exchange are already made and will give you an idea of what is possible!

Have you heard of the Promethean ActivInspire software?
