    Call for Proposals Due (extended): February 15th, 2019

    Conference Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2019


    The goal of this conference is to bring together language educators, researchers, and policy makers in order to share innovations in the field of second language teaching and learning. We hope to expand and develop participants' understanding of second language acquisition, while also enriching our ability to be effective teachers.


    The graduate students of St. Michael's TESOL program, in partnership with Northern New England TESOL (NNETESOL), invite proposal submissions that explore a range of topics related to second language teaching and learning including, but not limited to the following:

    • Computer Assisted Language Learning
    • Approaches to Assessment
    • Motivational Strategies
    • Teaching SIFE
    • L2 Teacher & Learner Identity
    • Asset-Based Instruction
    • Trauma Informed Pedagogy
    • Refugee Concerns


    All proposals must be submitted online here. (


    Presentations will be held on the campus of Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont, USA. Sessions last 45 minutes: 30 minutes for presentations and 15 minutes for discussion. We encourage audience participation. Rooms are equipped with computers, sound, internet, and projectors.
