    Hi all,
I won't arrive in time for the first-timer's events, but what are your favorite things that I should check out at the convention?
    Thanks!
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly:

There is so much to see and do at the TESOL International Convention!  These are a few of my favorite things (cue music):

First, the plenary sessions are always thought-provoking and inspiring!  Try to catch as many of these as you can.  Here's a preview:  https://www.tesol.org/convention-2019/convention-highlights/keynote-speakers

The concurrent sessions are organized by strand this year (see the list of strands here:  https://www.tesol.org/convention-2019/schedule-at-a-glance/session-strands).  Getting familiar with the strands will help you identify sessions of interest to you.

Also, if you belong to an Interest Section (or Interest Sections), check out the Academic Sessions and Intersession Panels IS leaders have planned for you.

Of course, there is the Exhibition Hall where you can peruse all the latest English teaching and teacher training materials from publishers large and small.  The Electronic Village is in that same area and allows you to experiment with new technologies.

Then, there's the closing celebration to look forward to, this year at the Georgia Aquarium!

You'll definitely be busy!    When you come back from the conference, let us know:  What was your favorite thing?
