Introduction and Expectations

    Hello everyone,
My name is Eliseu Lopes Tavares and I am from Cabo Verde. I am an English teacher in primary school level working with 7th and 8th grades. It is my first time as a TESOL member.
I applied for this convention because I am always trying to improve myself both academically and professionally. Therefore, my expectations for the event are high. I hope to learn many things in this 3 days and be able to share some insights too.

    Hello Eliseu,

Welcome to the TESOL Community. We are happy to have you. I'm sure you will get a lot out of the virtual conference. Remember there are love sessions as well as ones that you can watch when you like. Be sure to attend the networking hours, getting to know other EL teachers out there is so helpful!
    All the best,
    Brooke Leach Grable

    Hi Eliseu:

So glad you can join us!  Tell us more about English teaching in Cabo Verde.

Also, you might want to check out some of TESOL's Communities of Practice to interact with even more members.  For example, you might be interested in the English as a Foreign Language Interest Section or the Professional Learning Network on Arts & Creativity.  It's a great way to connect with other teachers.

Best wishes, and see you at the convention!
