Dear Colleagues,
Have you tried SOLEs (Self Organized Learning Environments)? My organization, SOLE Online, has a free multinational college/high school program starting January 13. It's not too late to participate. Fill in the Google form below if you are interested:
Here are the details:
There will be 4 live SOLE sessions on Zoom, and these will be supported by asynchronous work. SOLE Online has prepared a Discord server for students where they can write self introductions and more, where they can share photos or videos, get to know one another, and scaffold language for each other before the SOLEs begin.
The 4 sessions and the asynchronous work will be connected by a theme.
SOLEs are a form of inquiry based learning discovered by Sugata Mitra in the late 1990s. He won the 2013 TED Prize for his research.
His talks are entertaining and inspiring:

The program dates are as follows (all date and times are local to Japan):
December 10 - January 12: Teacher registration
January 13: The Students can start posting self introductions and interacting on Discord. SOLE Online will also give them a discussion topic to write about. The topic will relate to the coming SOLE session, but will not be the same question.
January 13 8-9pm: Teachers' meeting on Zoom
January 20 8-9pm: SOLE session 1 on Zoom
January 14: SOLE Online will give the students another discussion topic to write about. Again, it will relate to the coming SOLE session.
January 27 8-9pm: SOLE session 2 on Zoom
January 28: SOLE Online will give the students another discussion topic to write about. Again, it will relate to the coming SOLE session.
February 3 8-9pm: SOLE session 3 on Zoom
