Hello and greetings from Russia )) My name is Mikhail and I'm an English teacher at the international Letovo School (Moscow). I've just attended the TESOL conference and it's been a blast. Thank you very much for wonderful organisation. And I'm looking forward to new connections.

Hello, Mikhail!  I'm so glad you enjoyed the Convention.  What's one thing that you learned from the conference that you hope to apply to your teaching?  What was your favorite session?

    Hello, Ilka ))
Thank you for your interest ))
I really enjoyed the session "Designing creative writing activities for the classroom" by Megan Hansen Connolly (Dept. of Second Language Studies, Indiana University) - it set the tone for the conference for me as I'm fascinated about working with literary texts.
The revelation to me was the feeling of unity with teachers all over the world, sometimes from completely different backgrounds. Though I've been to international conferences before, I rarely saw such variety of teaching contexts.

Hello Mikhail, welcome to TESOL. I am glad to see you are enjoying the conference. I live in Texas, just finished my Past President of TexTESOL IV position. Are you involved with our Russian TESOL affiliates? I only know of Yakut TESOL in Russia, because I visited Yakutia in 2016.

    Thank you, Yuliya ))
That's great - such an honourable position ))
I'm the member od DonELTA which is I believe the NATE Russia affiliate and those are connected somehow with TESOL... I still need to understand these relations I guess. I used to be the member of British Council Russia and it was much easier to understand, but unfortunately it's no longer an option.
Haven't even heard about Yakutsk TESOL - thank you for sharing )
