Dear Colleagues,Please join Nicole Bell and Dr. Jasmin Cowin and me for an interactive webinar event that reimagines digital storytelling as a tool for community assets mapping and building. This webinar is part of our coordinated effort to extend language learning outside the classroom for multilingual learners and shift towards a more dynamic, inclusive teaching paradigm. Built on research-based frameworks, this webinar marries community asset mapping and digital storytelling as a tool for teachers to unlock, build upon and celebrate the strengths, resources, skills, opportunities, passions and experiences that exist within their students and their communities. By reimagining familiar tools such as PowerPoint and/or Flipgrid, we would like to show that digital storytelling can be a powerful tool to build upon positive student and community outcomes. We will introduce more digital tools based on participant feedback in our subsequent webinars, but our focus remains on amplifying student and community voices and what they care about.♦NYS TESOL Event: No app needed.
