We're so glad you're here. Here's a little about us:
We, the Video PLN, want to focus on three areas to address the growing importance of video as a learning and teaching tool in classrooms and online:
Or so it says in our mission statement. We haven't gotten as much feedback as we'd like yet about what you want to see here and how we can help and collaborate. Suggestions, questions, ideas are always welcome. You'll find us here on TESOL and in our Facebook Group: TESOLVideoPLN.
But: We will post our first "5 teaching tips" video on our TESOL YouTube playlist in early September. Topic: Vocabulary. Here's one of the videos as a preview - LINK. It's temporarily on my YouTube Channel, we'll move it to TESOL's YouTube with the final video.
We are looking for feedback and possibly more people on our team: social media wizards, video aficionados, and editors. So far "we" are Ivana Ferguson, Lianne Smith, and myself.
Brief origin story: The Video PLN is a continuation of VDMIS-IS, the Video and Digital Media Interest Section. We renamed our TESOL YouTube Channel to Video PLN. If you have a moment, check out some of our previous "how-to" videos HERE.
We would love to hear from you and will also check out the other PLN's posts in the next few days. I already saw a lot of interesting things like the NNEST-IS presentation and the new Womentorship PLN Video.
Have a good weekend,
