    • 3 Keynote Speakers
    o    Ben Krauss
    Director of Equity and Inclusion, Gonzaga Prep
    Ben Krauss is the founder and principal of Adaptive Training Solutions. He is also the Director of Equity and Inclusion at Gonzaga Prep and adjunct faculty for Eastern Washington University. He has served communities in a public safety capacity as a police officer, analyst, and management consultant. He has taught in the public sector, corporate, high school, and university environments. He earned a B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University and a Ph.D. from Washington State University. Ben's wife Angie is a school principal, and their three children are very active in academics and sports. Favorite family activities include hiking, walks, and time on the water with family and friends.


    o    Sarah Lynn
    ESOL Teacher, Pearson English
    Sarah Lynn is an ESOL teacher, teacher-trainer, and curriculum design
    specialist. She has taught adult learners in the U.S. and abroad for
    decades, most recently at Harvard University's Center for Workforce
    Development. Ms. Lynn has led many sessions and workshops on
    topics such as fostering student agency and resilience, brain-based
    teaching techniques, and teaching in a multilevel classroom. Sarah has served as series consultant and contributing author of various Pearson English series, including: Project Success, Future, Future Literacy.
    Director of the School of Teaching and Learning, University of Florida COE
    Ester de Jong is the Director of the School of Teaching and Learning and Professor in ESOL/Bilingual Education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to coming to the University of Florida, she worked with Spanish-English and Brazilian-Portuguese bilingual programs as the Assistant Director for Bilingual Education and ESL programs in Massachusetts. Her research focuses on equity and integration in the context of dual language education and preparing teachers to work with bilingual learners in K-12 schools. Her book, Foundations of Multilingualism in Education: From Policy to Practice published by Caslon Publishing, considers a principled approach to school, program, and classroom decision-making for multilingual learners. Dr. de Jong was President of TESOL International Association (2017-2018).
