    Hi Ino:

Glad you can join us!  I see from your profile that you are an author.  What is the book(s) you have written?

Do you find that your background in computer science has helped you as an English teacher?

    Best wishes.

    Hi Nikki,
I wrote / write to Dreamspinner press under a pen-name. I thought it would a small detail to keep in my bio but not explain in-depth since it is not teaching related..
I was initially attracted to teaching English when the Access center needed an IT teacher and then they wanted me to design fun learning activities students can do with a computer while learning English. (And there were so many things to pick from)
The current modules that I teach for my Diploma in Teaching students (I need to keep updating my bio on this platform is) called Educational Technology and Teaching English. I do not do any in-depth programming with my students but I have found myself being very comfortable with most of the online tools available and translating them for teaching purposes.
In addition, technology is essential for all educational needs today. (hey, I'm doing an online course and teach via zoom most of the time since the pandemic) and my background does help.
    Cheers,

    ~Ino
