    The 2020 Sunshine State TESOL of Florida Program Committee invites you to submit a session, workshop, or paper/research proposal for the 2020 Sunshine State TESOL (SSTESOL) of Florida Virtual Conference.  SSTESOL is seeking proposals that reflect the best and most promising topics, research, and practice to support quality education of English learners (ELs) and adult ELs from diverse populations Please use the guidelines below to help you prepare the best proposal possible.

    2020 SSTESOL of Florida Virtual State Conference
    November 13, 14, 15, 2020
    Conference theme:
     "Celebrating 30 Years of the Florida Consent Decree"
    DEADLINE: August 3, 2020

    SUBMISSION TIMELINE

    • Deadline for proposal submissions to be received: August 3, 2020.
    • Acceptances, notifications and schedule of presentations announced: September 4, 2020.
    • Registration deadline for all accepted presenters: September 18, 2020.  

    PROPOSAL COMPONENTS 

    Presenter Information: Name, title, institutional affiliation, email address, physical address, and telephone number of all presenters on proposal

    Presenter Bio: 30-word limit

    Title: 12-word limit

    StrandChoose one: Dual language, K-12, adult education, EFL, EAP/IEP, teacher education, technology, advocacy/policy, program administration/evaluation

    Presentation Type: Practice-Oriented Session, Demonstration/Workshop, or Paper/Research (30 minutes) 

    Abstract: 100-word limit. This will be used in the program. Please proofread. 

    Proposal Summary: 300-word limit 

    Selection Criteria: Timeliness of topic, relevance to the conference theme, positive contribution to the TESOL field, and clarity.  Click here for the rubric  which will  be used to evaluate proposals.
