Dear Colleagues:There is still time to submit a chapter proposal for the NYS TESOL e-book project titled "Supporting Student Success through Assets Mapping". We define Asset Mapping as the process of identifying, connecting, celebrating, promoting and mobilizing the strengths, resources, skills, opportunities, passions and experiences that exist within our students and their surrounding community.
We are inviting proposals on innovative ways of involving the community in the classroom and documenting the thought process and course of action taken to bridge home and school connections.
Chapter proposals can be based on projects still in progress or have been completed and should be no more than 300 words.
The proposal deadline is May 15, 2022. Click here for more information.
While all proposals are welcome, we are prioritizing projects taking place in educational contexts demographically similar to the State of New York, which is culturally and linguistically diverse.
We look forward to receiving your proposals.
