The Teacher Educator Interest Section (TEIS) of the TESOL International Association invites submissions for a special guest-edited newsletter issue focused on the development of volunteer English language teachers in community-based settings and international development work. The volunteers may teach the English language in classroom settings, online, or in one-on-one tutoring situations.
Articles may present research on volunteer teacher development, describe successful volunteer development programs, or share best training practices. Some relevant topics are
We welcome short article submissions of 500-800 words, with no more than 5 references, from volunteer teachers, volunteer coordinators, teacher trainers, program administrators, advocates, and researchers.
Send your submissions, as Word documents (no PDFs), to Nikki Ashcraft at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2020 U.S. Central time. Please include a cover sheet listing the author's name and e-mail.
The guest editors will review submissions and request revisions during the months of October and November for publication in December 2020/January 2021.
