Introducing myself

  • 1.  Introducing myself

It is with great pleasure I say Hello to all of you. My name is Carlos, and I am from Maracaibo, a city in the western side of Venezuela, blessed with a radiant and shiny sun all the year. You can see it by yourself on this post:

I love to teach, is one of my biggest passions since I started teaching 3 years ago. I'm committed to myself to be a great teacher and from the first moment I decided to take a TESOL Core Certificate Program with Arizona State University, instead of getting any other Teacher Training needed to work in a Language Center in my country.

When I started teaching, it was awkward  in the beginning and I stumbled upon many deceptions when I wasn't good enough to my criteria. The fact is I was quite the opposite, after a year of hard practice I stopped working in a Language Center and decided to work by my own. It's hard to get a great audience to be heard, but in the end and after two years, I would say that this is the way... (to me)

I have the great students I deserve, and I am proud of being a great teacher to inspire them to learn!

    Hello Carlos,

A very warm welcome! So glad that you're passionate about teaching. I

What's your teaching context in Venezuela?

I recommend that you explore the vast teaching resources on the TESOL website to find something that can help you improve your teaching skills.

Do check out the interest sections and the communities of practice.

Wishing you all the very best!
