Hello! I'm an English Teacher and I work in a Public School in Brazil. I love studying languages! It's being a great experience to interact with people/experts in TESOL' platform. I hope to keep on learning with you.

Hello Marcela, thank you for this introduction. I love your enthusiasm for language learning. I hope to see your expertise in our Interest Section discussion forums. Is there an Interest Section you like to learn more about?

Hi Yuliya Summers! How are you? I'm really interested in themes related to classroom practices. As students are not so engaged with the activities, I feel they should be more motivated to produce and I want to stimulate them in this learning process. I believe we can build a better world if we face the problems with enthusiam and try to hear them and to do our best for them. I am trully happy to be interacting with people from TESOL. Thanks for your attention.

    Best regards,

    Hello Marcela,

Welcome aboard! Nice to see that you've filled in your profile on MyTesol.

Glad to learn that you're teaching English in a municipal school. At what level and what's the focus? How do you plan to optimize your TESOL membership for your CPD?

Do check out the various interest sections and communities of practice on the TESOL website. You'll surely find some of these useful professionally.

    All the best!

    Hari

    Hi Harisimran Sandhu,

Improving my knowledge is an efford, since there's no financial support for this professional learning available (my work place reality). Teenagers are not engaged with the studying process. I want to help students with an appropriate assment so that we can both benefit from this: the teacher may have a positive view towards his professional work and student can produce what they are supposed to do without complaining or not understanding the possibilities that opens when they say "yes" to this studying path. Fortunetly, I'm having this opportunity.

All the best for you too!

    Hi Marcela,

I think the challenge of teaching in low-resource environments seems to bring out the best in us. Personally, I find it even more contributive to teacher-pupil bonding.

Motivating teenagers is the other challenge that runs across the board! There's lots of material (threads, discussions, interest sections, communities of practice) on the TESOL website that you'll find useful. Hope you've begun exploring.

    Good luck!
    Hari
