Intercultural competence course textbook for undergraduate EFL students?

Can anyone recommend an intercultural competence course textbook for undergraduate EFL students? The IC course textbooks used in the university I currently teach at in Vietnam are far too difficult and far beyond the students' reading ability. We have of course simplified the information using PowerPoints, but I am curious to know if there is anything designed for IC coursework for EFL students.

My department uses the book, "Encounters with Westerners:  Improving Skills in English and Intercultural Communication" by Don Snow.

It has an edition publish in China and is quite inexpensive to buy, at least in China which isn't far from you.

Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press, ISBN 978-7-5446-3603-2

Thank you, David. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I will check out the textbook to see how it might fit for our context here in Vietnam.

David, I'm having a hard time finding it online. Do you know if there is a version of this book that is not specific to a Chinese context?

    Hi, Ramin

I hadn't had to purchase books, so I wasn't aware of the difficulties.
I checked the publishers site and it appears but only in Chinese.
I also searched in English and only this edition appears.

However, only the cover is Chinese, and the contents are in English.
If you have a contact that can get it from the publisher, it is very cheap (skip Amazon).

Here is the book's title in Chinese:
    跨文化交际技巧:如何跟西方人打交道

And here it is on the publisher's site (currently selling for equivalent of 2-3 USD each:

    I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the advice on the book "Encountering Westerners." Unfortunately, it's almost 40$ through Amazon in the United States.

Anyone know of a different source for the text?

    Best wishes,

    Charles

    Hi Ramin,

One text you might consider is 'Crossing Cultures in the Language Classroom' (2nd ed)  by Andrea DeCapua and Ann Wintergast. It is written in straight-forward language and has many activities included to help student stretch their cultural knowledge.

Jane Jackson has a text, "Introducing Language and Intercultural Communication" that others I know have used effectively with undergraduates. [https://www.amazon.com/Introducing-Language-Intercultural-Communication-Jackson/dp/0415601991]

    Best wishes,
    Rachel
