The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Trans (LGBT) Professional Learning Network is a global community of English language education professionals who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, or "Friends."

We are a group of almost 300 practitioners and academics who affirm and respect the diverse sexual and gender identities of English language students, teachers, and teacher trainers by seeking to foster learning environments free of bigotry, prejudice, and violence.

This summer, the PLN helped organize the webinar "Revisiting the curriculum that dare not speak its name: LGBTQ+ Inclusive Curriculum in TESOL," currently available on TESOL's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxko1tPwNgc

We always welcome new members! There are several ways to get involved:

    1. Add the LGBT PLN to your TESOL communities at: https://my.tesol.org/home.
    2. Join our Slack workspace: tesollgbtpln.slack.com.
    3. Come to one of our events at the 2022 international convention in Pittsburgh:
      • Academic session: "Illuminating the T in LGBTQ: Perspectives from the Field"
      • Networking session
