  • 1.  Attenting TESOL2022 Convention

    Posted 23-03-2022 02:49 PM
    Hi,
I am attending the #TESOL2022 Convention from home, Ecuador. And I mean, literally from home. A couple of years ago, attending a convention through virtual platforms was beyond my plans, wishes or interests. But now, it is my reality. I am glad to be part of the TESOL International community now. Fewer borders, more connection opportunities....and it´s just been half part of day 1 of the conference!

    Hi Katherine,

Like you, I'm attending the TESOL Convention from home in Uruguay. I have not missed a convention since 2014 and although I had plans to attend in-person, I finally could not. I feel grateful to TESOL for still having the chance to present and attend virtually, and I totally agree with you, fewer borders, more connection opportunities!

    Hello Katherine and Rosario!
I'm so glad that you could attend the convention virtually!  How did you find it?  What were your favorite sessions?
I loved that the keynotes as well as some other select presentations could be streamed live and there are still so many prerecorded ones that we can access through April 22nd!

    Thanks for your words, Anastasia!

I really enjoyed the convention and the experience of attending virtually, though I wished at times I had been there in person.

There were many good presentations, but my favorite one was the James E. Alatis Plenary. I found Helaine Marshall's presentation so inspiring!

That's great!  Yes Helaine was wonderful!  I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the virtual experience.  I love that we can still enjoy all of that content until April 22nd.  Apologies for the later reply - I came down with a cold last week and was off of my computer.
