    Apologies for cross-listing ...

Call for Presenters:  TESOL Research Agenda Fair at TESOL 2022

The TESOL Research Professional Council (RPC) invites submissions to be part of a panel at the TESOL 2022 Convention's TESOL Research Agenda Fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

The TESOL Research Agenda Fair focuses on priorities and trends in TESOL research and highlights work that aligns with the TESOL Research Agenda, with the goal of bringing together theory, research, and practice.

The fair features a panel of researchers from a wide range of backgrounds (e.g., novice, action, teacher, graduate student, teacher education, and classroom-focused researchers) to share and discuss their latest work and its practical implications for English language teaching and learning.  Each panellist will have 10 to 15 minutes for their presentation. Presenters should make a connection during their presentation to the TESOL Research Agenda.  Presentations related to under-researched topics and contexts as well as emerging areas of increasing importance are particularly welcomed.  The panel is followed by small group discussions led by the presenters and RPC members to further explore the panel topics as well as trends and priorities in TESOL research, particularly from a practitioner's point of view.  There will be an opportunity for the small groups to share with the whole group at the end of the session.

To be part of the TESOL Research Agenda Fair's panel, please submit a proposal for a 10 to 15 minute panel presentation by Friday July 16, 2021.  The RPC is planning on holding a face-to-face event at the TESOL 2022 Convention, but the format is subject to local health protocols and may change if required. Submissions will be reviewed by the RPC, and successful submissions will be confirmed by Friday July 30, 2021.  Presenters are expected to register for the TESOL 2022 Convention.  If you have any questions, please contact Scott Douglas (scott.douglas@ubc.ca).
