Converting to teaching online

I know that because of COVID-19 many teachers are scrambling to figure out how to teach online for the first time.  Here are a couple of resources to help you.

First, Jennifer Lebedev, who has years of experience teaching online, has posted a very helpful entry in her blog called Have You Become an Online Teacher Overnight? Get Tips and Tricks!  You can read her advice here: https://englishwithjennifer.wordpress.com/2020/03/13/have-you-become-an-online-teacher-overnight-get-tips-and-tricks/

Secondly, here is a link to a presentation I gave a number of years ago on Improving Your Virtual Presentation Skills. This was intended largely as advice for people giving online webinars for the first time, but many of the skills translate to online teaching. You should be able to view it in your browser but you might need to download the free Adobe Connect app to see the recording, then you can skip ahead if you like.

I hope you'll find these resources helpful. Stay healthy, everyone!

Thank you for sharing these, Joe! Please consider re-posting in the new COVID-19 Resource Group. We're trying to keep all resources in one place and accessible to everyone.

    Thanks!
