  • 1.  CALL FOR SUBMISSION FOR NNEST IS NEWSLETTER DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 15, 2022

    Posted 11 days ago

    Dear colleagues,

As part of the NNEST IS editorial team, we are accepting submissions of personal and professional stories on the intersectionality of NNEST leadership identities for the upcoming NNEST Special Issue Newsletter: Exploring NNEST Leadership Identities. Although many NNEST professionals serve in leadership capacities, we do not yet know enough about their unique leadership development. Therefore, NNEST professionals, their challenges, successes and needs are not often recognized in conversations about TESOL Leadership. The diverse contexts of NNEST TESOL leaders and their many roles provide fertile ground for the exploration of identity consideration in leadership development.

The purpose of this Special Issue is to capture individual stories of NNEST identity development.  From these stories, we can better understand how NNEST construct their leadership identities and move successfully into positions of leadership, paving the way for the next generation of NNEST leaders.

Here are some guiding questions for submissions:

-How do NNEST leaders construct their leadership identities?

-How does awareness of one's self, different roles and responsibilities, and shifting contexts influence leadership identity?

We invite feature articles in the form of autoethnography, narrative inquiry, case study and other forms of personal/professional accounts.
