Harishimran,
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Yes, I will look into joining a some CoPs.
Are there any that you can recommend?
I am not really sure why, but my university grants an M.S. degree in Education (TESOL) rather than an M.A.
I imagine my program is like any other TESOL program that exists in other institutions.
I am actually a PhD student in Linguistics right now at UC Davis.
However, due to the pandemic I am taking a leave of absence from my program.
Best,

Hello Anthony,
Welcome to TESOL!
You have a rich experience in EFL/ELT and I do hope you'll be able to tap the vast resources of the TESOL website to suit your research interests.
I'd recommend joining some of their varied CoP and interest sections.
You have an interesting academic record - a science post-grad who has diversified into ELT.
Any plans for a PhD?
Hope you can make the best of your membership!
Regards,
Harisimran

Hello my name is Anthony Diaz. I am a long time TESOL professional, but brand new member to the TESOL International Association.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching in the United States and Japan. My main teaching interest is the teaching of pronunciation to EFL students in Japan. I am looking forward to making connections with other professionals through this organization and hopefully one day attending a conference.
