Hi I'm new to TESOL and this is my first year as a teacher of English as a Second Language.  I have worked with students for many years whose primary language was not English as a reading specialist.  I wanted to find better strategies for helping this students and therefore went back to school to get my Certification in this field.  I'm excited to begin working with ESL students full time and am currently testing new students to determine eligibility.  I hope to be able to attend the TESOL conference in 2019.

Hi Mary.  Welcome.  This is a great resource and the conferences are great.  I'd really be interested in learning what you use to test your students and what age range they are.  I'm currently looking to update our initial testing procedures.

Best as you start your new position,

Mary, would that be the Capital School district near me? I teach at DTCC and DSU.
